Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress during sessions and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and reinforce proper techniques during rehabilitation.
- Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Support the clinical team with administrative tasks such as scheduling and patient charting as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- New York State PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation exercises, modalities, and basic anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the physical therapy team to ensure quality patient care
